Effective Tuesday, April 7th, 2020, all 5Star Bank Branches will close lobbies to walk-in clients. We are in an imperative time to help flatten the curve and minimized the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
We are still serving clients. We ask, however, that you call your local banking location and make an appointment to enter the lobby.
Our InterQuest and Peterson Air Force Base drive-ups remain open to serve clients as well.
We appreciate your understanding as safety of our staff and clients remains our #1 priority!

Yesterday, Governor Jared Polis enacted an Order for all Coloradans to stay-at-home during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a bank, we are considered “Essential Services” and we remain open to serve our clients. We are following all federal, state and local protocols to keep our staff and clients safe.
At this time, our Denver Tech Center and Downtown Colorado Springs locations have open lobby hours. Our Peterson Air Force Base and InterQuest locations are serving clients through the drive-up or by appointment. For contact information and hours, please click here.

Posted on 03/24/2020 - 5Star Bank's Denver Tech Center Branch Remains Open to Serve You
On Monday, March 23rd, 2020, Mayor Michael B. Hancock announced a new Public Health Order with an explicit stay at home directive for the City and County of Denver that will go into effect at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24 and continue until April 10. The order requires that all people in the City & County of Denver stay home and businesses implement work from home policies and delivery of goods to the greatest extent possible.
What does this mean for 5Star Bank’s Denver Tech Center branch? We will continue to work and serve our clients with normal banking hours. In recent days, the banking industry has been designated as a critical infrastructure sector along with banking staff designated as “essential financial services employees.” Essentially, banks and their staff are exempt from stay home orders. Per federal guidance, we will be providing our staff with documentation, on bank letterhead, stating the above.
5Star Bank remains committed to following local, state and federal guidance. We are also steadfast in keeping our staff and clients safe. We will continue to follow sanitizing and social distancing protocols while serving our clients banking needs.

Yesterday, we shared that Colorado’s application for federal disaster area designation has been approved. The SBA Disaster assistance provides low-interest federal loans for working capital to Colorado small businesses that have realized economic injury from COVID-19.
The BBB has provided an article showing step-by-step how to apply for these loans including who is eligible, who is not, what documents to have ready, who to contact, and more!

Colorado small businesses impacted by COVID-19 can seek individual small business loans up to $2M as part of the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Economic Injury Disaster Loan program. Colorado small businesses throughout all 64 counties and on all tribal lands may seek SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans.

Due to safety concerns over COVID-19, and for the health and wellness of our employees, customers and the community, we are making modifications to our lobby hours at our branch locations, effective at 9:00am Wednesday March 18th, 2020.
Denver Tech Center
The lobby will be closed to walk-in clients until further notice. We will be making appointments to assist in banking transactions that cannot be done via mobile/online banking or ATMs. Please call Andy Hummel at 720.891.6185 or Cedric Buchanon at 303.910.5681 for immediate assistance.

Peterson Air Force Base
The lobby will be closed to walk-in clients and we will be serving clients through the drive-up. To assist you with banking transactions that cannot be done via the drive-up, through mobile/online banking or at any one of our four ATMs locate throughout the base, we will be making appointments for service. Please call the Peterson Air Force Base branch at 719.574.2777 for immediate assistance.
The lobby will continue normal business hours. We will, however, be taking steps to protect you and our staff. As such, teller transactions may be done using “social distancing” protocols. In addition, our tellers are practicing enhanced prevention measures. There are anti-bacterial wipes and hand sanitizers at all stations. We may also utilize latex gloves to handle cash or your transaction. If you are not feeling well, please visit the InterQuest location and utilize the drive-thru services.
During this time, if you can conduct your banking using our night depository, online/mobile banking services or banking via telephone services, we ask that you consider these methods. Should you need to use a non-5Star Bank ATM, we will be waiving all ATM fees at this time.
